The children may have only just returned to school but before you know it, the snowdrops will be appearing, and February half term will be on its way.
Now’s your chance to start planning ahead for your February adventures. From getting up close to Disney Pixar cars to meeting some of the new arrivals at our wildlife parks. Read on to find out what fun-filled activities you can get involved in this February half term.

Join in with the fun at Paultons Park
Paultons Park will be opening its doors again ahead of February half term. Test your aim on the ghouls at Ghostly Manor, take in the thrills from the Flight of the Pterosaur ride and meet your little one’s favourite characters at Peppa Pig World. There’s no end to the fun you can have on a day out here.

Meet some of the new arrivals at our animal attractions
Get your little ones out and about meeting furry, feathered and scaly friends at some of our animal attractions over half term. Open all year, Marwell Zoo is home to hundreds of different species of animal. Spot rhinos roaming in front of the Marwell House, walk through the wallaby enclosure and step into the warmth of the Tropical House to find a variety of jungle-dwelling creatures.
Open throughout February, the New Forest Wildlife Park, near Lyndhurst, gives plenty of opportunities to discover more about native and non-native animals. Watch the otters dive in and out of the water, see the harvest mice scurrying about and observe the giant wild bison roaming the fields. There are also several play areas – perfect for burning off some steam.
Just down the road from the New Forest Wildlife Park, you’ll find Longdown Activity Farm. Here, you can help bottle feed kid goats and calves, meet the alpacas and other animals and spend time in both the indoor and outdoor play areas.

Plan some winter walks
Pop your wellies and waterproofs on and have some great fun exploring the New Forest this winter. From pony-spotting to puddle splashing, you will find walks perfect for little legs – plus a range of buggy-friendly walks too.
If you don’t fancy organising your own walk, then why not book onto a guided family adventure walk with Wild New Forest on 17 February? These educational and interactive walks are tailored for families and are themed on the wildlife you may find here in our National Park.

Weather not playing ball? Don’t let that stop the fun
So, the weather may not always be the best over February half term but don’t let that stop your enjoyment.
Why not make a day of it at Beaulieu? Step into the history of motoring in the National Motor Museum and meet some of the Disney Pixar Cars including the very own Lightening McQueen currently on display. Explore Palace House, giving you a feel for what life was like in the Victorian times and hop aboard the Monorail for sweeping views across the estate.

Lookout for events and activities taking place at some of our museums, such as the St Barbe Museum & Art Gallery in Lymington and hands-on activities and shows at some of our event venues.
Keep an eye on our events listings for details of what’s coming up, we’re expecting more half term events to be added in the lead up to February half term.
