If you’re recently engaged and planning on getting hitched in the upcoming years, the Wedding Showcases taking place this November are the perfect occasions to check out some of the stunning venues the magical New Forest has to offer.

Settled in some of the country’s most beautiful landscapes, from ancient woodlands to remote heaths, the New Forest’s wedding venues are like no other. For a start, it’s not unknown to find one of our roaming ponies or donkeys has sneaked into a picture and we’ve perfected the art of the seasonal celebration, from grand summer affairs to intimate twilight events in the depths of winter.

The very best way to discover your perfect wedding venue from the wonderful choice we have here in the UK’s rural wedding capital takes place on Sunday November 21.

However, this year – as with many events – it’s being done a little differently. Visitors are being asked to pre-book at the individual venues they are interested in seeing, where they’ll be able to meet the wedding team, suppliers and get a real feel for the place. But this doesn’t mean that you can’t visit more than one venue on the day, you’ll just have to plan your timings!

Licensed venues which are opening their doors on November 21 include Balmer Lawn HotelCareys Manor Hotel and Montagu Arms Hotel. Each has its own, unique features and bags of experience in putting on the most beautiful weddings, so you’ll be in the best hands whether you want a spectacular and a feast – or something quiet and private.

The Montagu Arms has one of the New Forest’s most beautiful gardens, and excellent cellars, as well as being famous for the donkeys that like to wander by its front door

Balmer Lawn Hotel has all the capacity for a truly grand affair – plus plenty of space for young visitors to move around – and Careys Manor Hotel can organise you the perfect outdoor event, with private access to a secret garden.

If the ceremony is sorted or you fancy a pub-style reception with sumptuous food and a friendly atmosphere, check out The Mortimer Arms and The Trusty Servant .

But don’t forget that our hotels and venues are happy to book you in for a wedding visit year-round, to see their amazing facilities. They cater for every type of wedding; from sunny, summer gatherings to romantic wintery affairs.

Want to get married or hold your reception close to a river? The Master Builders House Hotel or The Old Mill at Gordleton can do that. Need a full package with plenty of lovely rooms for guests to stay in? Macdonald Elmers Court will certainly oblige.

The New Forest offers everything from the 5* luxury of the Chewton Glen, to breathtaking country homes, including Pylewell Park near Lymington.
