About

LONGDOWN FARM CHRISTMAS BARN – A FESTIVE FARMYARD UNDER ONE ROOF.

OPEN DAILY FROM 2ND DECEMBER 2017 - THE REST OF LONGDOWN ACTIVITY FARM WILL BE CLOSED,

Children and adults alike will delight in the festive atmosphere of the Longdown Farm Christmas Barn with its traditional theme and real live animals. Twinkling lights, Christmas trees and festive decorations set the scene where fluffy baby chicks and lots of other favourite farm animals will be waiting to meet the children and share their excitement.

The peaceful Nativity scene is watched over by gentle donkeys and provides a serene reminder of the true meaning of Christmas. Look out for Father Christmas’s tractor sleigh, which he has carefully parked outside the Farmhouse Grotto. Father Christmas will be waiting inside the Farmhouse Grotto to greet the children and their parents; he will give every child a Christmas gift to take home as well as a special Longdown Activity Farm goody bag.

The Christmas Barn is open daily from the 2nd to 23rd December, opening at 10.30am and closing at 4pm. The soft play area, crazy golf course, mini tractors, tea room, gift shop and Farm Produce Shop will be open, the rest of Longdown Activity Farm will be closed. There’s no need to book, just turn up on a day of your choosing. Adult admission includes a free of charge hot drink from the choice on offer in the tea room.

Free car park, toilets and our Changing Room facility for those who have registered disabilities or otherwise have the need for the specialist changing equipment.

2018 SEASON STARTS 10TH FEBRUARY 2018.
Longdown Activity Farm is a fantastic day out for everyone. A daily schedule of hands-on activities includes kid goat and calf bottle-feeding, duck feeding, and small animal handling; cuddle a baby rabbit, chick or maybe even a piglet! Plus, there are lots more animals to see.

Don’t miss our very popular (and very bumpy!) tractor and trailer rides (ground conditions permitting). Children will enjoy the crazy golf course and the large outdoor play area, which is ideal for a picnic too. If the weather is bad, Longdown Activity Farm has three brilliant indoor play areas which include a soft play area, trampoline barn, and a huge straw bale den for the children to run off all their energy. Whatever the weather, there’s always something to do.

Check out our website for lots of exciting events which run throughout the year. These include Easter egg hunts, a vintage tractor rally and Hallowe'en fun.

Don’t miss the Longdown Farm Shop for a large range of delicious locally sourced produce. There's no charge to visit the Farm Shop which is open to visitors and non-visitors to the Activity Farm.

Tearoom, gift shop, picnic areas, nappy changing and quiet room.

We are proud to offer a Changing Room facility containing an adult-sized height adjustable bed, lifting hoist, and adapted toilet and sink for individuals with a registered disability or for those with a need for the equipment.
