Rockford Common is an area of open heathland and woodland, grazed by livestock belonging to local commoners. The area is rich in wildlife and has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

Be Forest Friendly:  Make time to enjoy healthy exercise, fresh air, beautiful surroundings and the rich wildlife. Plan your route to be out of Forestry England car parks by dusk.

For an accessible route, follow the shorter route (i.e. cut out the additional loop starting at the triangle/Woodland Path and continue the route from there.
