There are also approx. 130 car parks around the New Forest managed by the Forestry Commission. These car parks are located outside of the towns and villages, usually at locations for walks within the forest. Please note that a selection of these car parks are seasonal, which means they are only open during the summer months. They also close at dusk. The New Forest National Park is a wonderful place to visit and you can help it stay that way by being a Forest-friendly visitor.
To avoid damage and obstruction, please park only in designated car parks, not on a verge or in gateways. Lock your car, taking any valuables with you and leave Forestry Commission car parks by dusk.
