If you love nothing better than a round of golf, why not consider booking a golfing break or day out to the New Forest?

Now we may not be the first place you think of when it comes to golf however, we have several courses to test out all abilities. Discover more about golfing in the New Forest…

Paultons Golf Centre

Set near Ower, and within easy access of the M27, Paultons Golf Centre offers both membership and pay-and-play opportunities. The centre has a beautiful 18-hole Championship course and a 6-hole Academy course which is perfect for juniors taking their first steps into the game.

The Centre’s Championship course measures 6,238 yards off the back tees and features sweeping, open fairways and woodland scenery. All 18 greens have been built to United States Golf Association specification, with optimum drainage, meaning you’ll never be forced to putt on temporary greens on this course.

Tuition is available and there’s a pro-shop on site too for all your golfing needs.

A handy addition to the Centre is the Topracer powered driving range. It features 18 bays that have been equipped with the same ball-tracking technology that traces the shots of the game’s best players on TV. Bookings for the bays should be made in advance and can be arranged for 30-minute or one-hour slots.

By contrast, The Manor Course is gentle and undulating with excellent fairways and greens.

The Club sits alongside The Bell Inn, an 18th century coaching inn which oozes charm. Relax over a pre- or post-golf game or stay overnight in one of the inn’s 26 cosy bedrooms.
