It’s time to spa!
The temperature is dialling down and Christmas preparations are ratcheting up.
Which means it’s the best time of the year to discover one of the New Forest’s best-kept secrets – our fabulous spas.
Whether you want to lose weight for THAT Christmas Party, relax before the Big Day, or treat yourself to a major, de-stressing pamper then we have the perfect place to make it happen, whatever your beauty style.
Escape to Thailand (without the jet lag) this winter with a limited edition Winter Spa day at Careys Manor Hotel, designed to rejuvenate and uplift you from the seasonal gloom and welcome Loi Krathong, the Festival of Light.
Join the celebration at SenSpa, with a rejuvenating and uplifting scrub and massage treatment, especially created for this occasion, then take time to enjoy unlimited use of the facilities, including the thermal pool, herbal sauna and experience showers. A light breakfast and lunch are also part of this offer.
Set aside 120 minutes to get yourself Perfectly Pampered with a Bamford de-stress massage, a bespoke facial, full use of spa facilities and lunch in the legendary Raw and Cured, when you visit The Herb House at Lime Wood near Lyndhurst at £270 per person.
Love the therapies and the scents of the Mediterranean? Then get yourself along to Burley Manor where £105 and 80 minutes later will see you totally smoothed and soothed, head to toe, with their Temple Spa day of pampering. They promise to leave you feeling relaxed and wanting more after a 55-minute prescription or skin boosting facial, Mediterranean massage, spa manicure or pedicure of your choice. Then they’ll treat you to something a little extra with a 25-minute Temple Spa side order treatment. To finish, sit back and relax with a spot of lunch, afternoon tea or tapas.
Needing a little more? Rhinefield House Hotel offers a perfectly pitched Rebalancing Spa Break. Enjoy all the spa has to offer with an overnight stay including breakfast the next morning and a choice of a 55-minute treatment from luxury facials to full body massage, manicure, classic pedi or face and body combo or face and eye special.
Glide through the warm water at New Park Manor’s spa whilst you admire the view of the Forest itself. (How can you fail to relax!) Afterwards, stretch out in one of their three thermal rooms and let the heat wash over you. Or sneak into their outdoor hot tub – perfect on a crisp winter’s day. And don’t forget to book an Elemis or Jessica treatment.
Over at Balmer Lawn’s Saltus Spa they’re offering a special deal for November – a Treats and Tapas Day for £65 per person on weekdays and £75 on Fridays and the weekend. You’ll be able to choose from a raft of indulgent therapies, from a Life Saving back treatment, to an ESP facial or a Saltus mani or pedi, as well as full use of the facilities which include the Nordic sauna, gym, Jacuzzi and heated pool.
Prefer your surroundings a little more rustic? Then head over to The Potting Shed at The Pig at Brockenhurst, where their signature treatment – think two blissful hours of uninterrupted ‘you’ time - starts with a detoxifying Kitchen Garden infusion and a deeply relaxing full body massage with soothing oils and a bespoke facial. It’ll take 120 minutes and is £185.
But, if you want to upgrade to the ultimate in luxury, it has to be The Spa at 5* Chewton Glen. Their Indulgent Spa Breaks start at £690 which includes overnight accommodation, continental breakfast, a £60 dining allocation, a 60-minute spa treatment per person per night and unlimited use of the fabled facilities.
If time is pressing, select from their menu of around 50 treatments. Or book yourself into an unforgettable Signature Spa Day, which includes a Sea Salt and Water Mint body scrub plus full use of facilities, pool bar buffet lunch, daily classes and breakfast in the pool bar for £160.
Bliss is guaranteed!
