The magical New Forest is the perfect place to indulge in a getaway. We’re only 90 minutes by train from London and under two hours by car from most of the south of England. Once here, however, you’ll feel a million miles from all the city and work stress – we have 220 square miles of forest and heath plus 40 miles of tranquil coast for you to endure.
We’ve got holidays to get you active, holidays to help you relax and more than enough to do, however long you choose to stay.

CAMPING
If you love the idyllic feeling of being outdoors and close to nature then what better way than to experience our wonderful wildlife and beautiful scenery than camping or caravanning?
The New Forest is the perfect destination for anyone who enjoys being in the great outdoors, with ample footpaths, fascinating wildlife and nature and amazing off-road cycleways.
Camping is great for family holidays and they are more than welcome here in the New Forest with many of our campsites being geared up for younger visitors with fantastic playparks and other activities.
Camping in the Forest manages 10 campsites in the New Forest including sites in Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst. All of these sites have Green Tourism Silver Awards for their environmental credentials from the back-to-basics site at Aldridge Hill through to Roundhill Campsite with open grassy areas, ideal for children to play on. Some of the more basic sites offer fantastic opportunities to get close to nature. At Green Hill Farm, if fishing is on your holiday list, they have two on-site fishing lakes and are open year-round. This wonderful campsite is one of the only campsites open all year round.
Some of our smaller campsites include Red Shoot Camping Park, which is in the perfect location for walking. Red Shoot have their own local shop and a lovely pub just a couple of steps away. Another one of our smaller campsites is Harrow Wood Farm Caravan Park, located on the outskirts of Bransgore.
The best news of all is that all of our New Forest campsites have easy access into the open forest, which means your outdoor adventures can start immediately.
Chapelfield Camping at Godshill near Fordingbridge is launching its brand-new glamping in 2020! This campsite is only open between Wednesday 5 August and Tuesday 1 September in 2020. Another fantastic place for a glamping getaway is Back of Beyond Touring Park, with lots of options including a yurt, glamping pods, luxury wooden lodges and shepherd huts.
HOLIDAY PARKS
Fancy something a little more organised? You’re in the right part of the world. The New Forest has some of the UK’s best-rated holiday parks.
Try a hot-tub holiday – just you, the lodge and your own hot-tub to while away evenings under the stars in.
Or maybe being able to bring your beloved dog is the main consideration? Shorefield Holidays are perfect for this. They have parks all over the New Forest, as well as another just on the outskirts.

SELF CATERING
This form of holiday is now huge in the New Forest and the good news is that we have got so many wonderful self catering options; from tiny-two-person cabins, to houses to accommodate large family groups that you’re bound to find place that’s right for you.
Including Furzey House, a six bedroom thatched cottage set in a private area within the grounds of the beautiful Furzey Gardens, and is offering a ten per cent discount on seven-night and three-night stays in January, February or March 2020 (excluding February half term, 15 – 23 February).
